City Council Meeting: Discussion on Revisions to Rental Rights Ordinance

As a part of their meeting at 6PM, City Council will be discussing the proposed revisions to their Rental Rights Ordinance.

Some things that are being proposed:

  • Adding a “Qualified Tenant” classification, that would potentially include senior citizens, people with disabilities, families with school age children, or more.

  • Revising or removing the loophole that allows landlords to evict based on alleged substantial renovations

  • Requiring providing more notice to a tenant being given an eviction notice
